Turkey's Advanced Materials Research Center

Material Under Extreme Conditions Laboratory

Established at Sakarya University, MUEC is Turkey's premier laboratory for researching, developing, and applying materials that operate under extreme conditions—from ultra-high temperatures (1500°C+) to radiation and corrosive environments. We deliver solutions for critical needs in aerospace, defense, energy, and space sectors.

Operational

World-class research infrastructure

MUEC operates an integrated laboratory infrastructure capable of researching materials from ultra-high temperature systems to protective coating technologies. Our modern testing equipment, computational modeling capabilities, and experienced research team deliver reliable solutions across all stages from design to application.

Research Areas

Five core thematic research focus areas

We specialize in ultra-high temperature materials (1500°C+), advanced protective coatings, corrosive environment materials, radiation environment materials, and computational materials science. Each research area operates in synergistic interaction to deliver integrated solutions.

Industry Collaboration

Integrated industry partnership model

Our laboratory operates in close collaboration with GE and domestic industry partners. Our infrastructure, integrated with TESLAB, responds directly to industrial needs from material characterization to performance testing. Research outcomes are transformed into high-commercialization-potential outputs.
